Promise or peril? HPE acquires MapR

MapR customers can breathe a sigh of relief. This morning Hewlett Packard Enterprises (NYSE:HPE) announced its acquisition of MapR, the big data analytics platform provider for artificial intelligence and analytics applications powered by scale-out, multi-cloud and multi-protocol file system technology. The terms of the deal are unknown.
